Lonely Signs
I did a Give Back Cincinnati volunteer event and we were doing some work in the Walnut Hills area. When I was driving home, I pulled down this one street and saw these signs sitting in a vacant lot. The signs include:
- KFC
- Sid's Motel: Air Conditioned
- El Rancho Motel
- Arby's
- Some kind of Bar-b-q place
- At the very end there is a bear sign. Not sure what it's for.
I just thought it was weird that these signs were just sitting in some vacant lot. If you want a KFC sign for your apartment, you'll know where to find it.

I want that bucket of KFC.
It's all yours buddy. It's just sitting by the road. Nobody is even guarding it.
Those are cool. I wonder why they are just sitting there. Imagine if there was a bucket of fried chicken that big. That would be awesome. I love fried chicken.
I wonder if this is outside of the American Sign Museum. I read about this museum in my Weird Ohio book. They have old fast food signs, motel signs, etc.
