For the Love of the Game
I went to two Reds games this weekend...both by myself, and both freezing ass cold. But they won both games. And I bought $5 tickets and had sweet seats. Here are the highlights.
1. Apparently Major League Baseball made the Reds let people sit wherever they want because of the weather. Otherwise they were going to have to cancel the games. At least that is what the beer guy told me, and I have no reason not to trust a man who gives me ice cold Budweisers. I was standing down behind home plate and first base for a while until I heard the beer guys complaining about how everyone was allowed to sit in the lower level, thus a surplus of beer guys, thus less tips, thus unhappy beer guys. I ended up sitting in the handicapped seating at the top of the lower level. Plenty of leg room and a great view. I liked it so much I sat there the next day.
2. The poor saps they had trying to sell Lemon Chills up and down the aisles. Those guys were hating life.
3. The hot chocolate line...nothing like missing half of the game because that hot chocolate sounds so good. Suck it up and grab a beer I say.
4. Free stuff. Schedule magnet one night, team calendar the next day.
5. The Adam Dunn homer that hit off the right fielder's glove and over the wall. Almost as funny as the one off of Jose Canseco's head...almost.

That's a true fan, watching the game in the freezing weather ... from a cripple seat.
First, it's the handicrapper then it's the handicap seats. What's next? You are building a good resume for HELL!
You are definitely a dedicated fan. Yeah, it would definitely suck to sell Lemon Chill things on a cold day. They should just retire them until it gets warm.
