Working 9 to 5...uhhh...not really

We're refreshing our QA system from Production this week. It's our first time peforming a refresh on this system. Apparently when Infocrossing took the backup, they did it directly to tape, four of them. When we started the restore, we had to run it in the foreground so we would know when we had to call Infocrossing to switch to the next tape. Unfortunately, our Putty sessions will time out after a certain period of inactivity. So, we decided to have someone sit there and push the Enter key every 15 mins. It was kind of like Lost only we didn't have to enter a code...and we weren't stranded on a tropical island with hot chicks...and nothing was going to actually explode (except our restore) if we didn't push the button...so basically it was nothing like Lost. I digress. Anyway, yesterday I found out that there is a Putty setting to send null packets every so many minutes to keep the session active. Too late now...we already started it. Doh!

Work hours for the last few days (in office):

Monday: 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. (16 hours)
Tuesday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesday: 12:30 a.m. to 7 a.m.

You're an ACN team player ... time for another promotion! I like the line about it being like lost, hahaha. That sucks about finding the setting too late.
