Still got my balls

Well, I made it out golfing twice this week, my 3rd and 4th times out this year. Looking back, my first two times I shot 59 and mid 60s. Wednesday I shot 52. I had a string of 4 bogies in a row (my goal is to boagy every hole), but then ruined the round with 3 7's at the end. I started the round with a 7 also.

Tonight I went out and what do you know ... 1st know knock it to withing 2 feet from about 175 out on my second shot and make the birdie put. What to I end up shooting ... 52. Who in the hell starts out with a birdie and then shoots 52? I had a string of 4 holes in a row where I 3 putted. My putting killed me tonight. So did anything 100 yards in. It's like I get 100 yards away and I duff every f'n shot.

Oh well, two 52's are better than 59 and above. But I always shoot for sub 50 at least once a summer.

On the bright side ... normally I start each round with 3 balls in my pocket for the round. Wednesday was the first round I can remember in awhile where I didn't lose a ball. I put the same 3 in my pocket tonight and didn't lose any tonight either.

Maybe there's hope.

Damn. You had a birdie and didn't lose a ball. I would consider that a successful couple of rounds. Do you go to the same course? How are the courses up there?

I went on Thursday with Marvin, Jeremy, and Drew. We played at California, which I had never been there before. I thought it was pretty nice. I shot a 51 with a couple of pars. Seems my average is right around 50. Somehow I didn't lose a ball either.

I liked california alot, I think I played it 2 or 3 times, fairly scenic as far as a city course goes.

No, I didn't play the same course. The one I played Wednesday was a pretty nice course - as far as $12 walking 9 goes. I mean, there are some REALLY nice courses around, but hell, they're like $50 to play 18 with a cart. I've never been on any of them.

The place I played Friday wasn't too bad, it's a public course about 10 min down the road from Julia's. As far as city courses go, it wasn't too shabby.
